About Senpo 千歩
Senpo (千歩) is a creative community founded by Chihiro and co-founder Patrick.
When Chihiro moved to Sydney in 2022, she wasn’t sure where to find like-minded creatives who shared the same passion for photography and storytelling. Continuing her creative journey in a new country felt unexpectedly lonely.
In late 2024, she decided to take a chance. A simple post on Threads asking if anyone wanted to join a photo walk changed everything. Hundreds of people responded. What felt overwhelming at first quickly became clear, there were so many creatives searching for the same thing: genuine connection.
With the support of her friend Patrick, Senpo (千歩) was born.
Since its beginning, Senpo has hosted over 20 events across Sydney, Melbourne, and Tokyo. From photo walks to creative gatherings, bringing together photographers, videographers, and artists of all levels.
At its heart, Senpo is about true connection. It’s about creating a warm, welcoming space where creatives can meet, form meaningful friendships, share ideas, and grow together. Whether you're just starting out or years into your journey, you belong here.
